The
Black Chrome is made of heat treated 4140 high carbon steel (the more carbon
in steel, the harder it is). It has the Foamed Vinyl Grip for a firm, durable
hold. The handle is coated with Zinc and hardcoat anodized black chrome finish
making the Black Chrome Baton highly corrosion resistant.
Black Chrome is the state of the art black finish for steel surfaces. It is
not not a paint, it is a a true black plating. As a result, it is extremely
hard and will not scratch. Black Chrome will not rust as do other surface treatments.
It is exceptionally durable and does not flake or peel. The Black Chrome ASP
Baton offers deep,
rich, black corrosion protection.

4140 Steel
The Steel used in the ASP Black Chrome Baton is 4140 seamless steel tubing and is not
commercially available in the United States. Because of this, ASP must have
a special chemistry or “heat” of steel poured in Germany and then
pierced into rounds. This raw stock is then drawn by an American company into
tubing that is made to ASP specifications. ASP is the sole source of 4140 steel
tubing for expandable batons. ASP 4140 is 25% stronger than more commonly available
4130 tubing.

All ASP products are the best there is. The baton will always be the back up to go to in a critical situation. Enough said. The review of Baton Defense/Miles Tactical is given a 5 star experience rating. This is my first purchase from them, and every aspect of the purchase and delivery were exceptional.

This item I have been using for years already as it is issued to me for work .
I purchased a spare to use in training as I have to be re-certified in its use every three years .
It's just simpler to own one rather than carry the one from work . Thanks again for the five star service *****

Love this thing. I love violence, and I'm afraid of everything, so the more guns and weapons I can hoard, the better. Us frightened, conspiracy theory, cowardly white guys gotta be armed to the teeth,...right?
